Welcome to Event Horizon Planning Inc., a volunteer run company, that organizes field trips and lessons for its subscribers, mostly but not exclusively home schoolers in Manitoba. EHP, both incorporated and insured, was established for liability purposes. The small yearly family subscription fee of $15 per school year helps pay for the insurance and the costs of running a business, such as advertising, mailings, etc.
Services provided to subscribers:
• Quarterly field trip list
• The ability to attend any age-appropriate event/field trip/lesson at cost or the best possible rate
• Frequent notification of special events and things that may be of interest to home schoolers
• Incredible deals on tickets for plays, etc.
Coming events may include the following:
• At least 2 field trips per week
• Field trips that address the educational and social needs of home schoolers
• Field trips that appeal to a variety of ages
• Daytime lessons (French, swimming, phys ed, art, horseback riding, sewing, etc)
• Some evening and weekend activities that may appeal to families
Field trips and lessons and the complete field trip list are available to subscribers only (at the discretion of the organizer). Subscribers can also participate in a forum and view detailed upcoming events on the Event Horizon Planning Inc. website.
Non-subscribers may be asked to pay a small fee over and above cost, if they attend a field trip, to help defray the costs of running the company.
